When you say November 2006: 42 books read, is that a running total for the year? Please tell me it is.

No, that's the total for the month.

OMG. I am such a slacker.

Last year, at the urging of friends and co-workers, I kept a tally. The total was 402 last year, and is 401 so far this year.

Can you retain what you read? Sometimes I can remember big concepts, but not details of books. Or I can remember the stories, but not the titles. Then again, I have this short-term memory loss thing that leaves me standing in the living room wondering why I am there.

Yes, I have a good memory. Family members call me trivia queen. Co-workers dubbed me the walking encyclopedia. 'Tis fun.

I think my tally for November was 2 + 6 halves. Maybe more, but I doubt it.

Ack!

I have to finish a book once I start it, no matter how poor I think it is - and I had one of those this week. Sigh.

Wow, how fast do you read? I think I read about twenty books a month...I read forty sometimes during the summer, but it's November! That's a busy month! Anyway, I've read most of those--great picks. Stay With Me & Angelmonster are both on my to-read stack right now; I'm more anxious to check them out with your reccomendations!

I average a book a day. Depends on how much time I find to read and how interesting the book is to me.

Stay With Me is PHENOMONAL. Incredibly well-written.

I've just read a slew of historical fiction, and Angelmonster was the best of that slew.
