Poetry Friday: Primary Education

December 22nd, 2006 (07:54 am)
awake

Current Mood: awake
Current Song: Goodbye Until Tomorrow from The Last Five Years

Somewhere in a room, the well-dressed
are talking & naming a country after a girl.

Somewhere without a name the ice is falling
as it melts & all of the people in the streets
have never seen snow—its exhalation—

For real? You've never seen snow? Of course, here in Western NY, I've seen enough for both of us.... Not so much the last couple years, though.
