Poetry Friday: Fairy-Land by Edgar Allan Poe

August 24th, 2007 (05:42 am)
awake

Current Mood: awake
Current Song: And Then There Were None from Spring Awakening

Dim vales - and shadowy floods -
And cloudy-looking woods,
Whose forms we can't discover
For the tears that drip all over!
Huge moons there wax and wane -
Again - again - again -
Every moment of the night -
Forever changing places -
And they put out the star-light
With the breath from their pale faces.

-- from Fairy-Land by Edgar Allan Poe

Forgotten Gem

I was a big fan of Edgar Allan Poe in highschool but I've forgotten so many of his great poems and stories. Thanks for the reminder.
