Current Mood: awake
Current Song: Wine Red by The Hush Sound

In the past two weeks, I have updated many websites for authors and friends. In alphabetical order:

Jennifer Lynn Barnes has new books on the horizon, all of which have been added to her bibliography. Platinum, the sequel to Golden, is now available in stores.

Liz Gallagher now has a website. The gorgeous artwork from the cover of her debut novel, The Opposite of Invisible, lent me the inspiration for her site's design. Invisible will be seen in bookstores come January 2008.

New Regency has acquired film rights to Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden. Golden and Mignola will write the screenplay. David Goyer will direct. We will keep you updated as the production moves forward. If you love stories that twist fairy tales into something new and unexpected, you simply must read Baltimore. Speaking of vampires, Golden's newest Buffy the Vampire Slayer novel, Dark Congress, is wowing fans and making them nostalgic for the Slayer show.

Kristen Tracy's second novel, Crimes of the Sarahs, will be available in spring 2008.

Emily Goldberg Learns to Salsa by Micol Ostow will be available in paperback in this November. Check out Micol's candid gallery and mark your calendar for her upcoming events, including next month's NYPL Teen Central Jewish Book Month Panel with David Levithan, Judy Goldschmidt, Sarah Mlynowski, Micol Ostow, and Lisa Ann Sandell.

readergirlz and YALSA are proud to present 31 Flavorite Authors. Chat with a different author every night this month at 5 PM PST / 8 PM PST at the readergirlz forum. For more details on 31 Flavorites, read the latest issue of readergirlz.

I also designed Storybook Story, Milly Marie's bookish website. We have some of the same favorite books and authors, and I really enjoyed designing that site.

My love is like a storybook story, but it's as real as the feelings I feel.

I have never read The Princess Bride, and I've only seen portions of the film.

I am so glad to see that Golden and Mignola will be writing their own screenplay!

And I cannot believe you haven't read The Princess Bride...it seems like it's right up your alley! It ranks in my top 10 favorites for sure.

I feel like such a slacker compared to you.

I was listening to that Hush Sound song yesterday!
