Poetry Friday: Em's Song, Take #2 by Carrie Jones

February 29th, 2008 (05:41 am)
awake

Current Mood: awake
Current Song: I Could Never Rescue You from The Last 5 Years

She dances swirling on the staff notes
Beyond the treble clef
Where I'm left watching,
Emmie,
Emmie in a spinning skirt,
Emmie with the notes
All in front of her paying,
playing,
playing
Until the coda,
until it ends,
until she falls
Off te sheet music,
waiting for someone to catch her.
- Em's Song, Take #2 as "written" by Belle, the main character in Love (and Other Uses for Duct Tape) by Carrie Jones

Keep on Path

I heart Carrie Jones. Great choice for today, since Love (and Other Uses for Duct Tape) is officially on sale tomorrow!

Precisely! :) That's one of the reasons I picked it. The other is because Love is the best book I've read all week, hands-down.

Well, now I've got to read that book. (If the title wasn't already awesome enough.)

YES! Read Tips on Having a Gay (Ex) Boyfriend first. Love (and Other Uses for Duct Tape) is the sequel. :)
