Oregon Hotel for Book Lovers
My aunt sent me a link to the website for The Sylvia Beach Hotel in Newport, Oregon, where each room is named after a different author, and the third floor is a library.

I promptly sent the link to no less a dozen friends who would appreciate it and learned that one of those friends had been there before. She declared it a lovely place.

I call dibs on the F. Scott Fitzgerald room. If that's occupied, then I'll go for the Shakespeare room or the Emily Dickinson room.

I wonder if it was ever occupied by someone who was really named Precious.

I wonder if some people go overboard with costumes and such.

Then I want Twain, Dr. Seuss (but from the looks of it I'd probably never get any sleep LOL), and Tolkien. What a cool thing. I've bookmarked it. ;D

I wish they had a Poe or Lewis Carroll room. ;) Poe might be rather dark and danky though.

Thank you so much for sharing!! I think I might try to talk my husband into going next summer for our anniversary. Definately the Tolkein room! Unless they open a Rowling room, of course.

Hey, speaking of Rowling. Do you still work in the book store? Do you know if/when HP book 7 will be released in paperback?

Have fun if and when you go!

No release date yet, as far as I know.

To sleep or not to sleep, that is the question.

I have slept in the Edgar Allan Poe room, but it's not that restful to have the stuffed raven staring at you.

Dude, the Poe room? I've just found out has an AXE OVER THE BED.

So. A little bedtime reading, a little Christopher Golden, in the Poe room, eh?
