Spooky
I took Spooky to the emergency vet today. She didn't make it.

She's with Twinkie now, somewhere, and they are taking care of each other.

Hollywood is here. As I just told Emily, it's me and Holly against the world now. Holly had a checkup immediately following Spooky. Lisa, Beth, and Jo kept me sane while all of this was happening, and Holly is keeping me sane right now.

Please understand if I don't reply to your emails or phone calls in the coming days. I'm broken right now, and I'll be that way for a while.

Thanks to those who held me up today. Hug your children tonight, be they human, feline, canine, or other another species. Hug them tightly.

I'm SO sorry, Tink. I just lost my other dog this past Tuesday. He was in SO much pain and we had to put him to sleep. So, I know exactly what you're going through now. :(

I'm so very sorry, Allie. Many people underestimate the effect a beloved pet can have on people, because so many just see them as animals - but they are truly friends and family to pet lovers. And that makes their passing that much more upsetting.

My thoughts are with you.
