Interview: Cara Lockwood

This is the fifth of six interviews with authors of MTV Books for teens. Please check back every day this week for another interview with another author!

Cara Lockwood's romantic comedies have tickled the hearts of many readers, especially twenty- and thirtysomethings. Now her newest book, Wuthering High, will extend her readership to include teenagers. Published by MTV Books, Wuthering High is the first in a new series. When Miranda is sent off to Bard Academy, an extremely private school, she thinks her family just wants her out of the way. Little does she know what's in store for her - and how famous (or infamous) her classmates and teachers will be!

Poetry Friday: Advice to a Girl

No one worth possessing
Can be quite possessed;
Lay that on your heart,
My young angry dear;
This truth, this hard and precious stone,
Lay it on your hot cheek,
Let it hide your tear.
Hold it like a crystal
When you are alone
And gaze in the depths of the icy stone.
Long, look long and you will be blessed:
No one worth possessing
Can be quite possessed.
