Poetry Friday: Words are Birds by Francisco X. Alarcón
This part resonates, makes me think of Irene's nests and nestlings!

    "and others
    build nests
    have chicks
    warm them
    feed them

    teach them
    how to fly
    and one day
    they go away
    in flocks"

Taking this personally, when writing, I guess all poets need to teach our words to fly! Lovely analogy - Thanks!
