What are you looking forward to in the new year?
On the professional front, I'm way excited about two projects: firstly, The Bradford Novels series, which is my very first original series, releasing this month from Simon Pulse. And I cannot WAIT to see my hybrid-graphic novel project, So Punk Rock (and Other Ways to Disappoint Your Mother), illustrated by my awesome brother David, in print (Flux, July '09). Both projects represent new (and very diverse) territory for me, which is always a trip.
Oh - and I graduate from Vermont College this month, too, which is crazy and bittersweet. I am now a Master of the Fine Art of writing for children and young adults, if you can believe it. How has it been two years already?
On the personal side, I'm getting married next fall, which I think will be crazy-fun, once all of the planning stress is out of the way.
