Poem in Your Pocket Day

April is National Poetry Month, and April 29th, 2010 is Poem in Your Pocket Day!

Feel free to write an original poem OR pick a poem by one of your favorite poets, write it down or print it out (if you feel the need to print it, please reuse scratch paper!), and put it in your pocket. Then, throughout the day, share it with friends and strangers alike. Encourage them to put poems in their pockets as well.

Which poem are you carrying around today? I have Hope is the thing with feathers by Emily Dickinson, which I also carried last year. I greatly enjoy hope.
