Realm Lovejoy's Website

Discover a new realm: author and illustrator Realm Lovejoy.

I recently made Realm's acquaintance. We quickly discovered that we had not one but two mutual friends (if not more!) Realm is a visual storyteller, skilled in fine arts as well as technology, proudly holding a degree in computer animation. In addition to her full-time job working on videogames, she also illustrates and writes books. Realm's forthcoming work Clan will be an illustrated novel for young adults.

Realm asked me to design her website, and I was very happy to help. She was such a delight to work with; she almost immediately provided me with images and sketches of how she'd like the site to look, and we went from there.

When I saw the artwork for Clan, I was immediately intrigued. The plot summary only made me more interested. Here's a sneak peek of Clan by Realm Lovejoy:

The person we will have to face every day is ourselves.

Fast-paced, edgy, humorous, and dark, Clan explores the concept that an exact clone is impossible.

Clan begins on an abandoned planet, where a single survivor refuses to live alone. Fifty years later, the Clan has emerged: an all-male society of the survivor's clones, who live harmoniously with an ideal of no personal identity and label each other with numbers.

Three teenage clones meet.

Apart from having the same body, they have nothing in common.

Realm also has a blog where she'll be posting additional artwork and news, so make sure to follow that as well!
