Poetry Friday: Low by The Good Mad

Summer days
Wishing off distance that kept me away
Don't stay low
Seeing uphill
Get to the moving
Don't be still
Don't stay low

Oh, leave your mistake in the doorway
Give us a sign that you've seen what you've done
and look for the sun
and lift up your head
Don't say low, don't stay low
No, just pick yourself up and go on

- selected lyrics from Low by The Good Mad

I thoroughly enjoy the music, lyrics, and harmonies of The Good Mad. No matter what mood I'm in, no mater where I am, whether it's backstage before a show or on the way home from a late-night film shoot or simply getting ready for the day, their music makes me happy, and inspired, and at peace. Give them a listen and let me know what you think.

I shared lyrics from Sail On by The Good Mad one Poetry Friday earlier this year.
