Rambling and gushing aside, I didn't read a lot of novels this month. I often had the script for that project in my hands, and, when inspiration struck during breaks, I worked on an original piece. (It's still not finished, but it's getting there.) Altogether, I only read 12 books and scripts this month, and half of those works are unpublished, so I must refrain from listing them here. But here are some other notable reads:
I delighted in the soft, dreamy illustrations of Dream Animals: A Bedtime Journey by Emily Winfield Martin. Thanks to Jules of Seven Impossible Things for the recommendation.
I re-read Babymouse #1: Queen of the World! by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm before giving it to a very special little princess.
I laughed out loud in the middle of a bookstore while reading bits of the Grumpy Cat book. Yep.
When I found others who enjoyed the works of Neil Gaiman and books like The Night Circus, I urged them to read the works of Christopher Golden, anxious for the January release of Snowblind and Cemetery Girl: The Pretenders, as well as the final volume of The Shadow Saga.
I hope you all found and shared memorable books this month, too. Happy new year!
