Poetry Friday: Maud by Alfred, Lord Tennyson

September 5th, 2014 (08:38 am)

Current Mood: sleepy
Current Song: Cold Case score music

All night have the roses heard
The flute, violin, bassoon;
All night has the casement jessamine stirr'd
To the dancers dancing in tune;
Till a silence fell with the waking bird,
And a hush with the setting moon.
- from Maud by Alfred, Lord Tennyson

I'm torn between wanting to be the rose and wanting to be one of the dancers...
