My river runs to thee by Emily Dickinson

grateful

Current Mood: grateful
Current Song: From Loving You by Mandy Moore

My river runs to thee:
Blue sea, wilt welcome me?

My river waits reply.
Oh sea, look graciously!

I'll fetch thee brooks
From spotted nooks,-

Say, sea,
Take me!

our water streams

I think I would have liked to share this with my students when we studied water cycles, how all that ends in the sea. Of course, it could be a love poem, too.
