Poetry Friday: The Crocodile by Lewis Carroll

December 22nd, 2017 (06:00 am)
awake

Current Mood: awake
Current Song: Doctor Who score music

How doth the little crocodile
       Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
      On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin,
      How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
      With gently smiling jaws!

Such a hard call...knowing which smiles to trust and which to run from!

grin

I'm grinning right along with the crocodile! I think I'll add this poem to my ones to memorize for my trip to England.
