Best Books of January 2018

January: 14 books and scripts read

Guess what I read for the first time this month? The Missing Piece by Shel Silverstein. I know, I know, it's odd that I hadn't read it before. Here's what prompted me to finally pick it up: While discussing story arcs with a friend, I quoted Silverstein's Happy Ending? poem, which she instantly recognized. Further discussion led to me reading The Missing Piece and the sequel The Missing Piece Meets the Big O back-to-back right then and there, then discussing those stories with her.
