Poetry Friday: Tell by Kristen Tracy

Current Mood: determined
Current Song: Declaration by David Cook

My students have problems. They put them
down on paper, hand them to me and say here,

here is a poem.
Sometimes they don't get
anything right. Chad's sister bleeds to death

in a villanelle. We find her in the bathroom
by following a trail of rhymes.

- selected lines from Tell by Kristen Tracy - Read the full poem in Kristen's amazing new poetry collection Half-Hazard.

So much fun to find Kristen's poem here--we were in the same critique group in Kalamazoo many years ago, and she just reconnected this week to announce her new book/book tour!

Whoa, that caught me by surprise! I'm definitely hooked and looking forward to reading more. Thanks for introducing me to Kristen's work, LW.
